Marty Petersen
Marty (the one in the glasses and beard) has been with Bastyr since 2001. He has been in the book business over 25 years which has led to a rather substantial book collection. His annual family trip to the Oregon Coast every summer usually finds at least an afternoon in one of the many used bookstores in Lincoln City. Marty has been known to enjoy a tall, cold glass of beer on a warm summer evening and a hot, black cup of coffee on a cool winter morning.
Gabriel Cuevas
Gabe (the friendlier one) has been at the Bastyr Bookstore since 2008. Originally from Hawaii, he came to the Pacific Northwest around 2000 and found that he liked it here. On evenings and weekends you will find him and his drum kit playing for the Groove Messengers. If he isn't there, you can usually find Gabe hiking somewhere in the Mt. Rainier forest. In winter, he's on the slopes of Snoqualmie Pass as a ski instructor.
